Stimulating curiosity and igniting imagination through exhilirating role play
Tiny Town, Newcastle
At Tiny Town they believe role play is vital for a child's development. Imagination, social interaction and creativity are skills that develop rapidly when stimulated and guided though role play. Tiny Town is an adventure for growing minds. Shop in the supermarket, prepare lunch in the restaurant, style hair in the salon, become a postal worker, police officer or member of fire crew in their vehicles and depots. Take appointments in the surgery, start building on the construction site or the children can become stars of stage and screen in their very own theatre.
All the Tiny Town areas are scaled down for children to enjoy. Tiny Town encourages educational development and aims to expand a child's understanding of both themselves and those around them. Tiny Town has been designed with early years practitioners to encourage interaction which develops excellent language and communication skills. Children will also discover other educational opportunities in Tiny Town, with tasks to complete and activities to enjoy.
At Enterprise Answers we were really impressed with the concept and the commitment demonstrated by Ben and Natalie in pulling the initiative together. Combining elements of learning and play has clearly had a positiove impact on the children who attend, creating a harmonious and lively atmosphere. Seeing and hearing the children laughing as they undertake the vast array of grown up roles is testament in itself that Tiny Town has hit the right notes and we were happy to lend our support to finance the development of this exciting venue.
